Planning kan balik awal keraja, tapi akhir tia pulang jadinya pasal khusyuk mendangar cerita. That’s why there’s a saying that says, manusia hanya mampu merancang, tapi tuhan yang menentukan.
The story yang kami khusyuk sangat mendangar was based on a true story. It was about a couple who had undergone a long-term relationship of more than 8 years. This is just a ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ bond with no strong attachments. They had no intentions on making any commitments as there had problems in terms of finance, though they never had tried to decipher it. Hence, they stayed being the way they always been ‘a girlfriend and boyfriend’ relationship.
However, they were threatened when the youngest brother of the guy had actually decided to take the first step in committing into a real relationship i.e. ‘being engaged’. Thus, they finally tied their bond into a much secure one i.e. of course ‘being engaged’.
Unexpectedly, the girl had gotten pregnant within their relationship (engage) in which none knew of the pregnancy not until she was about to be in labour! Everyone was shocked about it including the fiancé (guy). The girl had actually kept it a secret for the 9 whole months from everybody! To cut the story short, they got married right after that. The sad thing is, the guy died a month after the baby was born and hence the couple had actually spent a very short time together as husband and wife. It’s so incongruous when you think of it, a very long term relationship but alas you only get to enjoy the time really together only for a short period of time.
The moral of the story, whatever obstacle that you go through in life, good things and bad things, you can share it with your friends, families or close ones. Let them know how you really feel and what you’ve gone through. As you might never know that you might not live for another day and it might be too late to make amendments. Do not live your life only for yourself but for others as well. Say it. Let it out, before it’s too late. You have choices in life; it’s up to you on how to make it. Don’t easily make assumptions that no one is going to understand you as you might be surprise of how people around you will take it. They would understand if they really care for you and keep in mind that they would only wants what best for you.
The girl could have gotten married early if she could just tell what’s happening to her. She would have the chance to live together with the guy for a longer period and have him by her side taking care of her instead of enduring the difficulty herself. Whatever problems that she thought might arise could have been deal with together. There’s always the what if’s …. *sigh*
“Tuhan memberikan kita manusia akal dan fikiran untuk membuat sesuatu pilihan. Hanya terpulang kepada setiap individu untuk memilih mana yang patut untuk diri sendiri. Walau macam mana sekalipun, baik atau buruknya pilihan kita pilih akan ada hikmah di sebaliknya”
As my late cousin who had passed away at the age of 18 wrote in her diary, what she had believe in:
“Be careful in life, choose what is good for you, others and Allah. Do whatever you want in life so that you in the later days would not feel regret of the things you didn’t do. So try everything. Life is short. And I better be ready for tomorrow might be gone now because that’ll show me where I’ll be. We here are only for a while so don’t expect that when you are young you think Allah is going to make you live until your time has come.”
We normally take things in life for granted thinking yang ketani ada masa untuk melakukan sesuatu yang sebenarnya penting dalam kehidupan tetapi kenyataannya time goes by so fast that we wouldn’t realize it til it’s too late. If you love someone, say it, don’t be afraid as love works its mysterious way sometimes :) Be with your love ones; show them how important they are while you still have the chance. Remember, there’s always solution to problems if only you have the will!
